Journey to the Flower Market

During one of my many late nights of web surfing I came across a picture of some beautiful pink peonies in a plain white ceramic vase (on http://www.projectwedding.com/blog/). Being who I am I don’t just think of flowers as being put in a vase, I think of them in themes.
The first thing that came to my mind was the new yellow and white damask invitation paper that I bought for the store. Once I pictured those in my mind the creativity flowed like smooth jazz music at a Sunday brunch. Once I had it all thought up I immediately called my amazing assistant Doreen, who is also a photographer.
I hit the call button and the pause before the phone rings felt like a hundred years because I was so anxious to share my ideas. She picked up and before she could say hello I went into full details of what I wanted to do for our next shoot. Of course Doreen being the great friend that she is completely understood me and said “Ok Annette, I’ll be there tomorrow”.
As soon as she came in the following day I told her to put down her things because we were going to go to the flower mart to pick up some flowers for the shoot. If you’ve never been to the flower market in Downtown Los Angeles I must say you’re missing out. It’s like a whimsical wonderland for flower lovers. The smell is heart melting and the colors are enough to relax even the most foul of moods. Upon our return to the store this is what we came up with………enjoy!
